This week started out with the ALC students' favorite day ... WAFFLE DAY! These two days of waffles were a fantastic way to kick off UCAW week here at the Advanced Learning Center. We love our ALC students and hope they know we appreciate having them as students of the ALC!

This week is a fantastic opportunity for our students to prepare for their post-high school education. Our counselor, Mrs. Grant, has gathered a variety of college resources to assist students at any stage—whether you're a sophomore, junior, or senior.
Seniors, Take Note! On Wednesday, October 8th, representatives from USU Eastern and the University of Utah will be visiting our school in the morning. This is your chance to interact with them, ask questions, and gain insights into application processes, financial aid, and more. Make the most out of this opportunity to ensure you're well-prepared for decision day.
Kickoff Event: We started the week with a delicious 2 day- Waffle Breakfast and lunch for all our students. It's not just about the food; it's about fueling your journey towards higher education!
College Information Tables: Throughout the week, explore various tables set up with information from different colleges. This is an excellent chance to gather brochures, speak with representatives, and collect plenty of S.W.A.G!
We're excited to have a fun and exciting college Application week.
Have a great UCAW! See you in the commons!

While setting up his schedule, Izek noticed he was featured on a promotional poster for our UVU concurrent enrollment program. It's not every day you find yourself on a poster, and it makes for a great story! Congratulations to Izek Andersen, our very own UVU concurrent enrollment celebrity in the making!
We are so proud of Izek and thrilled to celebrate this fun moment with our community. It's these little surprises that make our school such a special place. We encourage all students to keep exploring, learning, and achieving—who knows, maybe you'll be the next face on a poster!
