Invest Nest is a Shark Tank-style business pitch competition open to all high school students in the Nebo School District. Founded by JW Davies and Brad Allen of Davies + Allen, Invest Nest’s mission is to "awaken the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth."

This week Ms. Park's Robotics class showed off all they have learned this semester by making battle bots! These robots were allowed to be equipped in whatever way the students wanted - as long as the bots had a button on the back that could be pressed by other students' bots to "destroy" it.

Students got very creative with this open-ended project and made bots that had moveable arms, were several feet long, had spinning plates, had "flippers", equipped with pincers, and much more! A huge shoutout to the winners of the last man standing battles!

In Anatomy and Physiology, students conducted a hands-on bone dissection to explore the anatomy and internal structure of bones. Using hacksaws, students carefully sawed real bones in half to observe both external and internal features. On the outside, they identified structures such as the periosteum, compact bone, and overall shape of the bone. Once the bones were cut open, students examined the internal components, including the spongy bone and bone marrow cavities. They were able to distinguish between yellow marrow, which stores fat, and red marrow, which is responsible for producing blood cells. This lab provided students with a deeper understanding of bone composition, structure, and function, reinforcing concepts of skeletal system physiology through direct observation and inquiry.

Our Travel and Tourism students had the amazing opportunity to visit and tour the beautiful St. Regis Deer Valley Resort in Park City! Following the tour, we were able to visit the UVU Wasatch Campus to learn more about the W.A.R.M. program. From riding the funicular to enjoying a Q & A session with a variety of resort employees, our students had the time of their lives! Thank you, Mr. Ford, for organizing this awesome opportunity for us!

_2025-2026 UPDATED Final Career Nights
Last night, the Advanced Learning Center (ALC) and the Nebo Career Center hosted a highly successful Senior Scholarship Workshop Night. This event offered students and parents a valuable opportunity to receive guidance and assistance with the scholarship application process. By the end of the night, many participants had successfully applied for at least one scholarship.
A huge thank you goes out to Ms. Ronda Hair, the Nebo Career Center Coordinator, for her pivotal role in organizing this invaluable event for the seniors of the district. Her efforts have made a significant impact on the future of many students.
