As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we at the Advanced Learning Center would like to extend our warmest wishes to you and your families for a very Happy Thanksgiving. This is a perfect time to reflect on the things we are grateful for, and we are incredibly thankful for the wonderful students and dedicated faculty that make up our ALC community. Mr. Ford's Contract Law class learned all about the six parts of a valid contract, as well as which element "duress" falls under. Instead of just memorizing definitions, they were able to participate in a mock trial: Rumpelstiltskin vs. The Queen. Each of the students portrayed a different member of the court: judge, jury member, defendant, prosecutor, etc. Who do you think won?

Medical Forensic Class: CSI Experience Our students in the Medical Forensic class recently had a unique opportunity to put their crime scene investigation (CSI) skills to the test. They participated in an engaging and educational mock crime scene activity. Investigation Skills: Students were tasked to find, classify, document, and reconstruct a crime scene. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. Team Collaboration: Working in groups, students took on various roles and responsibilities of a Crime Scene Investigator, fostering teamwork and communication skills. This activity not only enhanced their forensic science skills but also encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Health Science Classes Tour Weber State University. Our Health Science students recently had an incredible opportunity to visit Weber State University's Health Science department.
