This course introduces the fundamentals of criminal investigations. Students will examine the techniques commonly utilized by investigative personnel for crimes against property and persons to include:

  • Case management

  • Case documentation

  • Interacting with victims, witnesses and suspects

  • Crime scene analysis

Corrections Criminal Justice | High School Course - Semester

This course prepares individuals to perform the duties of correction officers on a local, state or federal level.  Including the history basic functions, and administration of corrections in our criminal justice system.  Students will be introduced to the following:

  • Basics of rehabilitation

  • Methodology

  • Prison/jail system

  • Probation/parole systems

  • Sentencing

  • Appeals

  • Basic crime prevention methods

  • Equipment operation

  • Equipment maintenance

  • Routine correction enforcement responsibilities
