Our Travel (Hospitality Management) and Tourism students had the amazing opportunity to visit and tour the beautiful St. Regis Deer Valley Resort in Park City!
The ALC Travel and Tourism course provides the student with an understanding of one of the largest industries in Utah and the world. This course is organized around the 4 segments of Travel and Tourism. Today, students gained firsthand knowledge about the numerous opportunities available in this career field.
Following the tour, we were able to visit the UVU Wasatch Campus to learn more about the W.A.R.M. program and what classes are taught there. "Students of the AACSB accredited Wasatch Resort Management Program (WARM) can study hospitality management at Utah Valley University’s (UVU) beautiful Wasatch Campus while earning internship credit working in the exciting resort industry of the Park City area. Hospitality Management Degree students can complete their Junior and Senior years in the Wasatch Resort Management Program (WARM)."
From riding the funicular up the side of the mountain, to enjoying a Q & A session with a variety of resort employees, our students had the time of their lives! Thank you, Mr. Ford, for organizing this awesome opportunity for us!
